A pedagogical device for innovation management
The Innovation Transition Toolkit lets educators move beyond ideation and teach students to see innovation as a multi-actor, processual phenomenon constrained by institutional realities.
How to use it in the classroom
Structured around a real case
Structure learning around a case — for example our AI Customer Service Agent scenario — so students navigate real-world tensions between speed of deployment and organizational readiness.
Each of the four exercises maps to a discussion arc: baseline understanding, mapping dependencies, allocating capabilities, and finally designing a sequenced roadmap. Together they reveal trade-offs that are invisible in pure ideation exercises.
AI Customer Service Agent
A pilot AI agent must transition into production support operations. Students plan the integration across IT, operations, and the contact center — surfacing dependencies, capability gaps, and governance choices.
